In international trade, once the cost of the goods themselves is determined, logistics is often one of the most significant components of the total landed cost. The difference between a well-designed and poorly managed logistics structure can therefore have a direct impact on profitability.
For us, logistics is not simply about moving cargo from one location to another.
It is about understanding the commercial transaction behind the shipment and designing the most appropriate way to support it.
Logistics With Commercial Understanding
Every shipment has a commercial purpose.
A lower freight rate is not always the lowest-cost solution. Transit time, inventory levels, payment terms, storage, demurrage exposure, customs requirements and supply continuity can all have a greater financial impact than the freight itself.
Our role is therefore not limited to obtaining transportation rates.
We look at the complete transaction.
By combining logistics experience with an understanding of international trade and finance, we help our clients evaluate alternatives based on their overall commercial impact rather than transportation cost alone.
Global Reach, Trusted Partners
Since 2010, Veritas has developed an extensive international network of carriers, agents and logistics partners.
We have managed shipments to and from markets across the world and continue to work with carefully selected overseas partners who know our business, understand our standards and have earned our trust over time.
Veritas is also part of established international logistics networks, including CLN, giving us access to experienced local partners across major global trade lanes.
But for us, having a large network is not enough.
What matters is knowing who is handling our clients’ cargo.
We prefer to work with partners with whom we have established relationships, clear commercial arrangements and mutual accountability. Our clients should have the same level of confidence in an overseas operation as they have when dealing directly with Veritas.
One Relationship, Multiple Transport Solutions
Our international logistics capabilities cover the principal modes of global transportation, including ocean, air, road and multimodal solutions.
We do not believe each mode should be treated as an isolated service.
The objective is to determine which combination best supports the client’s commercial requirements.
Depending on the shipment, this may involve conventional container transportation, less-than-container loads, air freight, road transportation, project cargo, specialised equipment or a multimodal solution combining several modes.
The method may change.
Our responsibility for the shipment does not.
Beyond Freight Forwarding
Many of our clients require more than transportation.
Depending on the project, Veritas can coordinate suppliers, manage collection and consolidation, supervise documentation, arrange customs procedures, organise warehousing, manage local distribution and coordinate final delivery.
Where required, we can also integrate these services into broader purchasing or international trade operations managed on behalf of the client.
This allows our customers to work with a single experienced partner rather than coordinating multiple disconnected service providers across different stages of the transaction.

International logistics rarely becomes difficult when everything is proceeding according to plan.
